StarlinkTAK is a plugin for ATAK-CIV 5.5 or newer, developed by Grzegorz Kaszuba ("the developer"). It helps you align a Starlink dish: it reads the dish over its local Wi-Fi network and shows the current and recommended dish direction, obstructions and Starlink satellites on the ATAK map.
StarlinkTAK is an independent plugin. It is not a SpaceX or Starlink product and is not affiliated with either company. Starlink is a trademark of its owner.
None. The plugin does not collect personal data and sends nothing to the developer.
The plugin connects to exactly two places:
192.168.100.1). The
plugin reads the dish status, its obstruction map and its link history. This connection
works only while the phone is on the Wi-Fi network of the dish and never leaves that network.
In "Find satellite" mode, which you turn on yourself after a warning, the plugin also asks
the dish to clear its obstruction map.celestrak.org). The plugin downloads public orbit
data of Starlink satellites. The request contains no data about you, your device or your
position. CelesTrak sees the IP address of the request, as any web server does, under its
own terms. The plugin takes your GPS position from ATAK and uses it on the device to compute where the satellites are in your sky. The position is not sent to the dish, to CelesTrak, to the developer or to anyone else.
Readings from the dish are kept in memory only while the plugin runs. Uninstalling ATAK or clearing its data removes everything listed above.
Google Play collects installation and crash data on its own terms, independently of the plugin. See the Google privacy policy.
The plugin is intended for users aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children.
