SniperTAK is a plugin for ATAK-CIV developed by Grzegorz Kaszuba ("the developer").
The plugin computes ballistic firing solutions, reads weather data from a Kestrel 5700 meter and distance from a Vortex Impact 4000 rangefinder over Bluetooth Low Energy, and draws observation post, target, and range and bearing items on the ATAK map.
None. The plugin does not collect, transmit, or share any personal or device data.
Specific facts behind that statement:
You may pair the plugin with a Kestrel 5700 weather meter or a Vortex Impact 4000 rangefinder. The connection uses Bluetooth Low Energy and the Bluetooth permissions already granted to ATAK-CIV. The plugin reads measurements from the device — wind, temperature, humidity, air density, distance — and shows and uses them inside the plugin, on the same phone or tablet. Nothing from these devices leaves the phone or tablet through the plugin.
The plugin writes the following data to storage on the device:
snipertak/dziennik.jsonl.Documents/snipertak/exports when that dialog is unavailable. These files stay on the device. The plugin does not upload them. You may delete them at any time through ATAK or a file manager.
SniperTAK runs inside ATAK-CIV. Markers and lines the plugin places on the map are ATAK map items. Whether they leave the device depends on how you configure ATAK — for example on the TAK server you connect to and the contacts you share data with. That handling is governed by ATAK-CIV and by the servers you configure there. This policy covers only SniperTAK.
Google Play collects installation and crash data on its own terms, independently of the plugin. See the Google Play Services privacy policy.
The plugin is intended for users aged 18 or over. It is not directed at children.
